41st Annual Candlelight Tour of Havre de Grace
This year’s Candlelight Tour of Homes, one of Havre de Grace’s most cherished holiday traditions, will be held on Sunday, December 8th from 4-8PM. For the past 41 years, the tour has showcased some of Havre de Grace’s most historic and interesting homes, churches, and other places of interest. The streets of the City are ablaze with luminaries, creating a festive Christmas atmosphere.

40 YEARS!
It’s hard to imagine that the Candlelight Tour has been held every year since 1973. In that time, the event
has become one of Havre de Grace’s most treasured Christmas traditions, featuring homes and other buildings of historic interest and character. Over the years, more than 200 of the City’s most prominent and interesting homes and other buildings have opened their doors to the people of Havre de Grace.
This year’s tour homes are a mix of both the historic and the new, center-city and waterfront -- each reflecting the evolving character of Havre de Grace in its own way. Some remain true to their historic roots, others have been dramatically renovated, and some are newer homes. Also included are two of our museums, Arts by the Bay Gallery, and a newly-opened event destination. Along with the homes and other sites, this year’s Tour includes several special stops — three historic churches, Mt. Felix Vineyard and Winery, and La Banque de Fleuve -- showcasing another architectural and beautiful part of Havre de Grace. We invite you to stroll through our historic, luminary-lit streets and experience the warmth and charm of Havre de Grace. And don’t forget to visit the Christmas Boutique at the Lock House on the 8th and 9th of December.
