Two Beloved Traditions at the Lock House Museum; the Candlelight House Tour and the Lock House Boutique

Each December, the Lock House Museum invites you to step back in time for one of Havre de Grace’s most magical evenings—the Annual Candlelight Tour. This cherished tradition showcases the town’s rich history and timeless beauty through a festive walking tour of historic homes, churches, and landmarks.

Each illuminated stop along the tour offers a warm welcome inside, with holiday décor, charm, and a glimpse into the stories that shaped our community. The evening celebrates the spirit of Havre de Grace—neighbors gathering, visitors discovering, and history coming alive.

The Candlelight Tour is more than an event—it’s a celebration of light, tradition, and community spirit.

Lock House Boutique

December 13th 9-5 & December 14th 11-3

The Boutique began as an additional fundraiser to help supplement the Candlelight Tour.  What started as a bake sale table has become so much more!  It has evolved into a museum full of savory and sweet goods, hand-crafted items, centerpieces of fresh evergreens, curated jewelry, sometimes vintage items, and the raffle.



Come early because there is a line for the baked goods!
